Trivium
Vertical Gallery is proud to present TRIVIUM, a three-artist show featuring M-City (PL), FAKE (NL), and Trust.iCON (UK). The exhibition is August 5 - 26, with an opening reception on Saturday, August 5, 6:00-10:00pm.
M-City (Mariusz Waras) is from Gdynia, Poland. His public art animates urban spaces taking inspiration from the factories, chimneys and cranes that dominated his native town and childhood. He is known for his precise hand-cut stencils depicting a sci-fi utopia generally focusing on mechanical and industrial objects. M-City has painted murals and exhibited around the world, including Warsaw, Berlin, Paris, Sao Paulo, New York, London, Rotterdam, Budapest, Barcelona, Florence, Belgrade, Bucharest, and Prague. He graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, and obtained his PhD from the Gdansk Academy's Department of Painting.
FAKE is a Dutch street artist from Amsterdam whose work is clean, taut and full of color. Growing up in a grey and boring environment, FAKE felt the urge to bring a smile on other people’s faces through color, irony and humor. He is self-taught and started experimenting, combining styles early on to come to a unique signature. FAKE has exhibited in Holland, Norway, Denmark, Iran, United Kingdom and the United States.
TRUST. iCON is a street artist from Thamesmead in the south east of London (an area infamous for being the back drop to the cult movie classic - A Clockwork Orange). Working with contrasting styles of cartoon and reality iCON delivers messages of social commentary through his socially conscious street art. iCON’s unique mix of controversy and humor insures you will always have a spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down. iCON is active on the streets of London, Berlin and Los Angeles and his unique style has gained him critical acclaim for his thought provoking pieces. iCON's identity remains unknown.
All artwork will ship at the end of the exhibition. Please contact us if you have any questions.
