Pollyanna

 Pollyanna is a 28 year old Filipina visual artist and book illustrator based in Manila, Philippines. She studied in The College of Fine Arts in University of the Philippines
majoring in Visual Communication. Her deep understanding for both digital and traditional mediums has led her to create unique pieces that incorporate principles from both.

"I got the inspiration of my works by the story of Pollyanna. She’s a girl who looks at the positive things and sees the silver lining in every situation. Even in the darkest moments. My first character started with a red hydrangea flower named “Polly” Like a Hydrangea, she’s strong amidst the delicate and softness of a petal, and blooms even in the rain. She’s the warmth beyond the rain."

Now with her lowbrow female figures, her works evoke a sense of calm and wonder. With serenity and innocence revealing layers of complexity through the innocent eyes and childlike appearance. Aiming to bring positivity and light to the viewers
