Jordan Ferguson is a Chicago-based artist exploring abstraction using cartoons. His work calls for the viewer to confront the internalized memories associated with nostalgia, and why this is negative or positive for them as an individual. He relies on repetition or dismantling of the characters to make them almost dreamlike while also using them as random shapes to create strong lines and patterns in the negative space.
