Bird Milk
Bird Milk’s heavy-lidded, pleasingly plump cartoon animals are fixtures on the streets of the painter, illustrator and muralist’s native Chicago.
Bird Milk (so named for a chocolate-covered confectionery beloved in central Europe) studied graphic design before embracing street art, which he discovered while residing in Chicago’s Avondale neighborhood. His signature bluebird character appeared on a flurry of hand-drawn stickers and priority mail slaps ahead of his first mural, created for the 2019 installment of the Meeting of Styles traveling street and graffiti art jam.
