Erlend Mikael Saeverud

Born in 1975, Erlend Mikael Sæverud is a fine art photographer who grew up in a musical family in Baerum, just outside of Oslo, Norway. Saeverud worked as a producer, musician and teacher until he made a career switch in 2007. Through photography he aims to see himself and the world for the first time over and over again to get closer to a reality that is not learned through culture. Inspired by classic street photography, he always has his camera at hand. His method is intuitive and spontaneous and the use of natural light is characteristic of his work.  His first US exhibition was in New York, September 2013.
